Visitor Information during Coronoavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic

March 12, 2020—New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has announced visitors are not allowed in any New York State nursing homes, effective immediately.

Kendal on Hudson understands how difficult this is for residents and family members. We are doing everything we can to keep the residents and staff of Kendal on Hudson safe. If your loved one is approaching end of life, please call Kendal on Hudson at 914-922-1000.

In an effort to prevent the spread of infections, especially COVID-19, all staff and visitors are now asked to enter through the main entrance and to fill out a questionnaire. The questionnaire asks you to self-report any symptoms or risks of COVID-19.

The symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough, sore throat, diarrhea/vomiting. If you have any of these symptoms, please do not come to work. You should call your doctor.

The risk factors for COVID-19 include having been in contact (within 6 feet) of anyone who has or is suspected to have COVID-19. Another risk is if you have been on a cruise. Lastly, a potential risk is if you have traveled internationally in the past 14 days; if you have traveled internationally, please let us know where so that we can determine whether or not there is any risk.
