Sheep Graze Park Land Adjacent to Kendal on Hudson

The Aug. 26, 2014, issue of the The New York Times includes a feature story about how a shepherd and his flock of 50 sheep are helping to control invasive species by grazing in the pasture lands surrounding Rockwood Hall, part of the 1,400-acre Rockefeller State Park Preserve adjacent to Kendal on Hudson. Rockwood Hall was once a 200-room mansion belonging to William A. Rockefeller Jr. Click here to read the story in The Times. Throughout the Summer, these sheep returned to continue to help control invasive species. And goats were added to the flock this past summer.
