The best part about being a grandparent is spoiling our grandkids. Parents may have rules on what their kids can or cannot have but when grandma or grandpa are here all bets are off! Today though it’s difficult to keep up with the latest trends. As kids age there are even more things to keep track of. Amazon Echo
The latest tech trend is the “connected home.” Which means computers work with your lights, stereo, even oven and fans. The Amazon Echo is a voice controlled device that can play the news or music, order products off Amazon and more.
There are two popular versions, the difference is the speaker size. The Amazon Dot, is about the size of a hockey puck and costs $50. The Amazon Echo is $180.
Fitness Classes
If you have an active grandson or granddaughter, we recommend buying them a class from some of the trendy fitness companies. You’ll have to find out what they’re in to, but we’ve distilled three of the most popular things.
SoulCycle is a stationary bike spin class that has great music blasting and is a lot of fun, even if they’re not big cyclists it’s still great to try. They have studios in almost every city in America since they partnered with Equinox Gyms.
Barry’s Bootcamp is a strength and cardio high-intensity class. This is ideal for the grandchild who is really into fitness and working hard. It’s a motivating and fun one hour class.
